We're going to be unleashing the plot board on you all on Monday. Jolty and Matt-kun will be the main mods for that, since Mori-kun is about to go on vacation, and then is moving after that. However, Mori shall be kicking around the boards for a while yet, and fielding PMs, and writing up Gym Leader Profiles and the like, so have no fear.
Sundav disappeared from Delmara mysteriously last year. The legendary Ho-oh was kidnapped by a (possibly) human, named Dominus. Dominus seems to be working with a fallen legendary named Drakai, and so far has managed to lock Sundav in a cage, imprison her legendary powers in a crystal, and he's started to turn pokemon around Delmara evil. Fun stuff. The wishing well apparently had a swamp at the bottom of it for a while. Brave trainers went in, fought far too many pokemon, faced an evil gyarados -- and all they got was a crummy book. Perhaps the prize will be better when Sundav finds the location of something else Drakai and Dominus don't want to lose.

Li Jing was supposed to be Chinese. Er, one of the Chinese languages, at least...Jenta has gotten immigrants from smaller islands, thanks to the English language haven taken over all of 'em. That's why there are pockets of other ethnicities, too. Li Jing is Chinese-language, Nga is Swahili-language, and Florak is shifting towards Japanese-language (since the gym has always fallen into the hands of proud Japanese-culture maniacs). There are also large populations of Spanish-language, Korean-language, French-language, and native-language (usually Hopi), but they're more spread out...
And I'm not much of an expert. I just take Japanese at school, so I've been to Japan and know stuff about it. Yargh.

Hmm. Well, I hope more people vote, or I might have to cast a tiebreaker, or whatever. Ruin has put both Psychic and Dragon in the running for distant third places (possibly Elite spots).
So far, there are three ways we could choose to go to determine the gym types:
1) Take just the poll data and choose the top three. It's looking like Ghost and Ground with someone casting a tiebreaker vote between the runners up.
2) Take a popular vote from all three types each person has named (I've been keeping track) and choose the top three. Bug and Electric are the top choices there with the runners up being Ghost and Ground.
3) Do the popular vote with all three choices, but count the first choices as two votes instead of one. If that were done the result is still the same as the popular vote, and a tie-breaking must ensue.

Grr... I wish that Moltres would post his/her other two choices for gyms. I know that Moltres' first choice is bug, but I dun know the other 2 and there is still a tie for the third gym type >.<

Bah. Been waiting long enough, and I really want to finish work on the gyms so that I can get back to modding. I declare the winners of the Gym types:
1. Bug 2. Ghost 3. (This was a tie between ground and electric types and my tiebreaker vote says...) Ground
Technically the ground type had more "first vote" choices, although electric was more popular in 2nd and 3rd vote choices. On one side of the coin, we're going to be introducing a new element to the gyms of Delmara, and having an electric type gym worked better for the new gym design. On the other, the feeling I'm getting from y'all is that you want the final gym to be the buggy gym, and I have plans for Triple Towers, which means that the third gym type would end up in Ice Pine, and it's not an area conducive to electric type pokemon. So I fought with my laziness and decided for a ground gym, as it just seemed to make more sense.
Anyway, poll is closed. The new Gyms will be written up in due course. For those who are curious:
Ghost - Triple Towers Town Ground - Ice Pine Village Bug - Foggy Cove
