We're going to be unleashing the plot board on you all on Monday. Jolty and Matt-kun will be the main mods for that, since Mori-kun is about to go on vacation, and then is moving after that. However, Mori shall be kicking around the boards for a while yet, and fielding PMs, and writing up Gym Leader Profiles and the like, so have no fear.
Sundav disappeared from Delmara mysteriously last year. The legendary Ho-oh was kidnapped by a (possibly) human, named Dominus. Dominus seems to be working with a fallen legendary named Drakai, and so far has managed to lock Sundav in a cage, imprison her legendary powers in a crystal, and he's started to turn pokemon around Delmara evil. Fun stuff. The wishing well apparently had a swamp at the bottom of it for a while. Brave trainers went in, fought far too many pokemon, faced an evil gyarados -- and all they got was a crummy book. Perhaps the prize will be better when Sundav finds the location of something else Drakai and Dominus don't want to lose.

The Broken Well « Thread Started on Jul 17, 2006, 12:32pm »
The well stuttered into life. It was covered in trailing vines, and stones were missing from the once proud walls. The rope holding the bucket had all but rotted away, and the wooden object it help up creaked ominously in the slightest breeze.
Looking into the well was even more distressing. Moss and luminous fungus coated the walls of the well, and the water had all but evaporated, leaving a layer of rich booger green slime at the bottom.
But it still had magical power enough to grant a few wishes. Provided that the wishes were the right ones...

Matthew Hamlet walks into the wishing well meadow and stops to stare at the shape it was in, he sets down his back pack, pulls out some gloves and scissors, and began to prune and tear away the vines that had overgrown the well. He was sad at seeing the shape it was in, it meant one and only one thing in the young boys mind, that Sundav had not come by in a while, and he felt that he should try and repair what he could. He then smiled as he formed a wish in his mind, he digs out a hand full of coins and toss them all into the well.
"I wish that you may return to the shape that you where before, all fixed up."
Matt then returned to pulling vines and pruning what he could. All the while a Murkrow and a Spearow looked on with a look of bewilderment at their trainer.

Sara and Rena looked aghast as they walked up to the well. Rena was the first to speak.
"Whoa! What happened here?"
"Maybe Sundav went on holiday?" Sara suggested weakly.
A twig in the undergrowth snapped, and both girls turned to see a tall boy nervously step back.
"Hey! Who are you and what're you doing!?" asked Rei suspiciously.
"S-s-s-s-orry," he stuttered. "Mmmy n-name is L-l-lu-ke. I-I-I us-s-suall-ly c-c-come to the w-w-well, b-b-but," he gestured helplessly.
"Yeah, right! I bet you did this!" Rei tried to lunge forward.
"Hmm," Sara said, restraining Rei. "Look, the well only works when Sundav is here, right? So, it must not be working very well because she's not here. Therefore, if we wished her back then the well would be fixed, right?" she smiled with the happy logic of this statement.
"Okay, makes sense," Rei decided, as Luke nodded. "But if this doesn't work, I say we tie this guy to a tree, and ask him questions until he tells us the answers." The tall dark boy started to shake his head emphatically: "No!"
"Err," Sara looked at her friend. "How about we wait on that one? Let's try the well."
All three found coins and tossed them into the empty well. There was a squelchy sound at the bottom as the muddy sludge that had replaced the water accepted the offerings.
"Okay, we wish that Sundav was back," Sara said earnestly. There was a crack, as if lightning had struck in front of her, and a jeweled feather of shifting hues was lying on the ground before her feet.
"Hey," Sara bent down to pick the object up and examined it.
Suddenly something squeezed all three people around the well, and they disappeared with a whoomph of displaced air.
Quiet settled over the ruined well. However, the peace only held for a few seconds, as the sound of talk and laughter floated up the overgrown path leading to it. A girl and a boy came into sight, the girl with a zigzagoon trying to imitate the boy's murkrow, which had landed on his head, muttering about stealing territory back from a certain bird brain. The laughter had been the girl's.
"Spunky, stop that, it tickles! How to you stand it?" she turned to the trainer who she had met on her way to the well.
"It's hard," he smiled. "But I have it a bit worse, as I usually have two pokemon fighting over my he --," Mathew Hamlet dropped the sheers he held in his hands to clean off the well in surprise. "Sarah, please tell me that isn't a figment of my imagination."
In front of the well a wooden sign had just appeared. Two shining feathers lay on the ground where a wooden post had been pounded in by an invisible hand. Sarah read the sign out loud, as Spunky jumped from her head.
"S.O.S.
Hop into the well You must find the keys the Dungeons hide Run through them to free me Always read the first letter of every spell.
~ Sundav"
Admin's note: Will all players who wish to help free Sundav have their characters jump into the Wishing Well once they have said the magic word to give them access to the dungeon, and then proceed to the plot board, and then the suboard entitled: Shadow Swamp Dungeon.
This board is password protected, so you will have to solve the riddle on the sign to discover the password (It shouldn't be too hard, as this is the first riddle, just to give you a taste of what is to come). There will be a board set up at the wishing well for you all to attempt to puzzle out the password.
When you get to the first dungeon read the instructions carefully, and then begin your quest to free Sundav. Other players will join to help you. If you have any problems don't be afraid to contact Matt-kun and Krystal-san, who are our wandering mods for the plot board. Their characters are around to help you if you get lost, or confused.

Molly had never been to the well, which wasn't all that surprising. Therefore, she really didn't find anything odd when she did get there, though the writing on the sign confused her greatly. She got the first line, all right, and when she looked into the well her face scrunched up in such a way as to give plain hinting that she didn't find it a nice prospect. The next few lines were easy to-Apparantly there were some keys in some dungeons that she had to find by hopping into the well, which wasn't a nice thought.
However, she would have done, if only because someone needed help, and Molly was the sort to help. But there was a slight problem. Molly didn't know what the last line meant, and she wasn't about to jump into some filthy, mucky, well before she knew what it meant.
Aland had read the sign a few times over, before he to went to look into the well. < Come on Molly, lets go somewhere...No reason to go jumping into that. > He had figured it all out, sure enough, but he didn't want to jump into the slimy goo down there. That was just...Gross.
Lucky for him, Dover and Bouncer were in their pokeballs, or one of them may have spouted off the answer, and then Molly actually would jump into the sludge-pit of doom. Why, that would force him to do the sa-
"I've got it! Come on Aland, let's go help this Sundav out...It's pretty easy once you think about it. The word was-Aaaah!" If it hadn't been for the fact that she chose that moment to follow through with the rest of the instructions, she would have told Aland what he already knew. Unfortunatly, now so did Molly.
< Molly! > Groaning, he followed after her, wondering why he had to get stuck with the 'nice', 'helpful' trainer.
((XD I'm guessing she isn't supposed to spout it off here, so as not to ruin it for everyone else. Yea. XD I feel so awkward posting first. Darn you firstness!))

Kenji walked around and saw something that seem to familiar to him. "Isn't this that wishing well I saw not that long ago?" While looking at how it aged and drained of water, he saw the new sign put next to it. "Always read the first letter of every spell? Well, then that would be hy-"

"Scou~t!" Too late to think now. Scout had made him lose his balance and now they were falling to where ever this Sundav character was trapped at.

Nao, who had been waiting for something interesting to happen, was pleasantly surprised to see a new sign by the well. "Hey Emo, any idea what this could be?" <It appears to be a riddle of some sort. May I suggest-> <Sundav is a mighty Pokemon!> interjected Spaz. <If we free her, she may grant me the power for conquest! In the well, in the well now!> Nao stared at the sign. "Well, if she's in trouble, I suppose... Always read the first letter...H-Y-D-" <Come on already!> shouted Bounce, and away they went.

Rosie and Skye came back to the well, Rosie bounded over, < Oooooooooooo!! I know this Skye! Its Hy-!"
Suddenly Milkshake burst out of his poke'ball, < FLYING TACKLE!> He screamed, barrelling into Skye and Rosie. The three tumbled into the well headfirst....

Rain comes back as well, Flare resting on her shoulder. "This is way too easy, the answer is obviously..." she starts, before falling into the well as well.

Todd blinked at the trainers as they fell in one by one. He walked over, with Zap perched happily on his shoulder, and read the sign, " Oh! I see!" He said, " Well, lets go down!"

Timbera groaned as she came upon the well, Baka flitting after her. "I thought you said this was the way to Sapphire City!"
"<I SAID I MIGHT know where the road was!>" Baka shrieked back. The two had not had a good day, and since it was night time, and Kuraken was tired from battling and Takurami needed her beauty sleep (and thought it would be a fun trick not to help Baka or Timbera find their way), grouchy-ness because of sleep deprivation didn't help.
"Whatever, just make sure I don't run into anything, okay?" She asked as she strode forward. "I think I see a sign, maybe it'll have directions or something."
The zubat frowned, then flitted after her. Suddenly, his ears pricked up. "<Wait! Timbera! You're about to-"
"AIIIIIEEEEEEE!" Timbera shrieked as she tripped over a small stone, hit the side of the well, and tumbled in.
"<TIMBERA!>" Baka screamed as he zoomed over to the well, and dove in after her. But somehow, when Timbera fell in, two of her Pokeballs dislodged themselves from her waist, and lay on the grass outside the well.
The two opened up simultaneously, and Kasai and Kuraken popped out.
"<What just happened? I thought I heard Timbera scream. Is she okay?>" Kuraken asked, looking around. Luckily, there was enough light for him to see perfectly well.
However, the same could NOT be said for Kasai. "<Waaaai! It's so DARK! I can't see ANYTHING! HAHAHAHAHA-ow!>" She squeaked as she ran headfirst into the stone side of the well. "<I think she fell down the welly-well! Hahahah!>"
Kuraken peered at the sign. "<Maybe the answer to this riddle will help her.>"
"<Noooooooooo...it's gonna help a big shiny BIRDY!>" Kasai said as she jumped up onto the ridge of the well.
The naki looked at his fellow teammate. "<How could you read it?>"
She giggled, and shrugged. "<I dunnos. But the answer is-WAGH!>" Then she fell farther and farther into the well, just because of her inability to sit still.
"<I suppose...I should go in after her...>" Kuraken mumbled. He looked over at the two empty Pokeballs. "<I should grab these, too.>"
So, with the two minimized Pokeballs in his mouth, he jumped up to the edge of the well. I know I can fall from quite a ways without hurting myself...but I hope this isn't too far to fall. I'd rather not brake any bones...or worse...
Then he lunged into the well after Kasai, Timbera, and Baka.

London peered down into the well, Cookie and Sound holding her legs so she wouldn't fall in. <I still think this is a horrible idea.> Sound exclaimed, after reading the riddle. <I think it sounds fun!> Cookie replied, readjusting her grip on Londons right leg. "I don't see anything unusual down there. Just darkness." London stood up, Sound letting go of her, Cookie still clinging to her other leg. London leaned against the well, hands behind her head. "The only unusual thing here is the current state of the well- and the fact I didn't see any signs of water in the well, I think.." Sound inspected the sign again, frowning. <I think we should stay away from whatever secret this well holds. And I think we shouldn't say the answer to the riddle either, it might cause trouble..> London peered at the wooden sign. "Oh! You mean we shouldn't say h-" A large gust of wind hit the three, causing London to tumble into the well, Cookie still clinging to her leg. <EEEEEE!> Cookie screamed for her life, while London was screaming happily as they fell down the hole. <Uggh..> Sound hopped in after them. Without him, they were utterly hopeless.

Chris quitely walked to the well place. He turned to face Creature, his Eevee. "So your trying to tell me that you saw an Entry #3 from the sacred diary flying inside the well?" Chris asked and the pokemon nodded.
"Well, why didn't you try to catch it!?"
<Because...I was busy with a sentret that was passing by.> The Eevee said giving a sly smile and winked at his trainer.
"YOU WERE FLIRTING WITH SOME SENTRET WHILE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING in MY LIFE JUST WENT INSIDE THAT DARK PIT!" That was the first time he noticed the well, the vines were wrapped around the well, and fungus was growing from everywhere not to mention the disguisting green liquid that was flowing from the bottom and it also seemed that the wall craked a bit; Chris couldn't picture this well as a sign of beauty and frowned at the sight. It wasn't right. It was broke.
<Er...Yes.> The Eevee replied slowly. Chris slowly touched the well, smoothing his hand against the wall, it was freezing cold and he could feel chills up his spine, he felt as though something or someone was calling out to him. He then looked at the endless bottom; thinking really hard of what to do next and after a while of thinking he knew what he had to do.
"That's it...I'm going to gp it!" Chris said as he got back his grin., his eyes were brightly lit by determition and his hair flew by the cold wind that him him, The Eevee just turned his back against his trainer; his white long ribbon that was tied to his forehead flew as well. <....Ok! Have fun! Great to see you so...So ambition-full about it.> Creature said as he started to walk and escape out of this trouble. After walking for 10 minutes, he noticed that his feets were indeed moving...But he wasn't, he looked up to see Chris holding him by his tail.
"And your coming with me since it was YOUR fault." Chris continued pulling as strands of hair were covering his eyes and he was indeed serious. Creature didn't know what do to do or how to act, Creature wanted to make a sarcastic remark but the words he was trying to utter were stuck in his troath for some reason, was he feeling...Guilt? Before he could think, Chris quickly grabbed him by the neck and swooped inside the well.
You could hear screaming of an Eevee from far away distance.

Yume sighed, as she thought she heard an Eevee scream like no tomorrow. Both her pokemon were out of their pokeballs with her to the well. She took out a coin, "I wish...Zeke could have more levels." she said as she flung it in. She waited and waited and waited.
<Nothings coming up...> Zeke said. Gylfie flew up to the well, see darkness and stones. {There's not a lot...} she said as she returned to the two. "Maybe something happened...like it broke." she said. <BROKE?} said both of her pokemon. <Or maybe it was the peppermint god, who disliked all the wishing.> Zeke said. Gylfie and Yume sweatdropped as they both sighed. {What about Sundav?} Gylfie said. Yume thought for a moment. "No idea who she is." she said and laughed. Both her pokemon sighed, how did they get stuck with her again?
Yume looked down the well and sat on it before slidding down. Both of her pokemon gasped and looked down. <Your crazy! Your going to be killed!> Zeke said and Gylfie nodded. "Just come on, I have a feeling what ever is going on it's down here." she said. She climbed up putting Zeke on her beanie. "Ready?" she said. <Yea...I just wanna - WHAAA!> Zeke said as he grabbed his owner's head while they both slid down. Gylfie followed by flying down the well. Now, you could say you heard a Cyndaquil's scream like mad. It eventually calmed down, as they all slid down for the ride.

As Jin and his pokemon were taking a walk, Jin noticed a dark and gloomy place in a far direction. "Look guys!" Jin said as he pointed towards the place. "Let's go take a look.." <Wha?! What if that place is full of ghosts?! They'll kill you!> Cloud started to shiver and overreact. "Don't worry Cloud! Your'e with me!" Jin said as he was batting out the the heavy leaves so they could pass through.
As they reached the dark place, they saw a lone well right in the middle of the place. It was so old that vines crawled up to the inside of the well. Jin slowly walked up to the lake and took a peek inside. Since it was so deep, he couldn't see anything. Smoke was blowing out of the well. <W-What's that sound!?> Cloud shrieked as he heard a creepy noise from a darker part of the place. <BOO!!> Knuckles and Naki popped out and scared Cloud as they snickered and giggled. <WAAAAHHH!! GHOOOOOST!> Cloud ran to Jin, who was still peeking inside the well. "Cloud! Stop pushing! I'm f-faaaaaaallliiiiiiiing!!" The voices of Jin and cloud faded away as they fell deeper into the well. The two pokemon walked up to the well and peeked inside. <....Jin?>

Inside the Shadow Swamp
Sarah, blinked and turned to the trainers, the smile no longer on her face. “I hate it when he gets all deus ex machina on me," she muttered, before addressing Yuri, Justin, Todd, Skye, Molly, Kenji and the rest. "You heard the guy. Not only is there more to be done before you’ve officially won this battle, but they shall be harder than this one has. But if you pull together as you have this passed one, I know you’ll make it through.” She gave a small wave, then added, “Until next time!” then she disappeared in the same light that Matt and the swellow had.
Five seconds later all the trainers would feel a lurching sensation, as the Well's magic took hold, literally gathering each one out of the swamp, and spitting them out.
The well was still run down and moss covered. Bricks were missing, and vines clung stubbornly to the surface. However, the inside of the well was no longer slimey. It was clean -- dry as a bone to the bottom -- but clean. And the brass plaque looked as if it had been recently scrubbed.
However, the inscription had changed from the normal "Make a Wish and it might come true."
Now the plaque read: "Thank you. Come back as soon as I find Dominus' next hiding place."

"The new dungeon has been discovered. Hop in if you want to participate in the plot."
The well personally didn't think much of Sarah's sign, which was duct taped to its still rather crumbly brickwork. However, the cheery girl had already vanished into it's depths, so it wasn't as if the well could do anything about it. Besides, Sundav's tastefully placed brass plaque was enough to make up for the magic markered atrocity on it's lip.
First to continue, collect and conclude Next one is repulsive, revenant, and rude The middle is why? It is also in you The first one in post is your fourth clue Now take last of last, and add what you know The first item down, only two more to go
Admin Note: So, solve it, use the password, and jump in the dungeon. This dungeon is a little different, so read the information carefully.

Katie walked up to the sign, a bit confused.
She read the riddle, and stood there for awhile, drawing figures in the air as she tried to figure it out. She was the only one in the open, so she really had nothing else to do...
Oh, she thought. Scary, she realized, peeking down.
Then, with no particular reason, she dove down, thinking the answer to the riddle.
And then she was in a new place entirely...
((Well, I have the answer...but no Pokemon...^_^;; ))

((This took me longer then I want to admit to figure out XD))
"Look a well!" said Alastor as he ran up to the sign and cocked his head to the side. "Look a sign, I can't figure out for the life of me what it means!" Jule said as he stared at the sign intently.
A half hour had passed when Alastor said "You know it kinda looks like," and then Alastor was suddenly tipping over the edge of the well and falling. Jule dove down and grabbed a hold of his pokemon, and shielded him wth his body hoping the fall didn't hurt....too much.
